The Fluffy Steamed Eggs ($5.90) came in a puffy cloud shape served in traditional black stew pot. However, it was not as soft and fluffy as we thought it would be. Despite that, I enjoyed how they prepared the egg with only a hint of Korean sesame oil aroma to retain its original taste. .
The second side that we got was the Sweet Spicy Fried Chicken & Crispy Toppoki ($8.90). The toppoki was the caramelised kind which lent an additional sweet flavour to the chewy rice cake. I like how the caramel layer was thin and not too hard to bite into. The chicken was super tender and yummy but just had a little too much batter on them.

For meat lovers, their Chicken Bulgogi ($8.50) is a must order. The portion given was pretty generous because the whole pile was like 95% meat and 5% onions! Usually for the same serving size elsewhere, it would probably be 60% onions/bean sprouts and 40% meat. The chicken was lean, super tender and well marinated. .
There was a generous amount of ingredients provided in the sour Kimchi Pork Belly Stew ($13.90). We wished that the pork belly slices in the soup were a little thinner though because they felt a little tough to chew on. Overall, this dish is lighter than I thought as normal kimchi stews tend to be laden with kimchi resulting in a overpowering, overspicy kind of soup. .
This was Bear’s first time trying Hotteok and she couldn’t keep still when they prepared it. The Hotteok ($3.90 for 2pcs) resembled a flattened mooncake but tasted otherwise. The outer layer had deep fried mantou texture while the inside was filled with a non-flowy sweet paste. The pastry was served almost immediately up and was disappointingly cold. Despite being already full from her meal, Bear used her dessert stomach to wipe out this sinful dessert easily.
