I am never a fan of radish and yam cakes for how starchy and chewy they are, but this completely turned my impression upside down. Sure enough, each piece comes smooth as though it's fish paste with visible shreds of radishes in them, and the accompanying Sambal gives it the savoury and spiciness it needs to flavour. Yam cakes were also of the same texture, with the signature earthiness of the root vegetable and came with pieces of dried shrimp for some added texture and flavour.
