Ok before anything else, let me just explain that this bowl of goodness was dabaoed (for those who don't understand, it was packed, to go, take away) and it had survived the walk back to my boyfriend's office, a whole train station away and sat there for some time before I took the train over from my office two stops away and picked it up and brought it on the train back to my office and then finally journeying into my belly.
So it was a good half an hour? Or more? Still the lor was piping hot and not congealed. You know how some hor funs turn to spit when left to cool for some time? This was perfectly smooth and thick and hot and omg... And that with vinegar (is it vinegar?) and the chilli, so good I tell you, even after half an hour. So much shredded chicken too, super generous. And it's even got crab sticks, I love my crab sticks, everyone who knows me knows that. So that's another bonus there. And the veg and the shitake, mmm. But the best part for me really was the fish wanton, the two oblong deep fried things. Omg, those things were just amazing. To have on its own or drizzled with some zhup or totally soaked in zhup for a few minutes, so so good. And when I had it was kinda lukewarm and chewy and still I'm raving like this. Imagine how good it must be hot, sigh.
Tip: If you can, please eat it there and not dabao to really enjoy all the goodness of it and show the dish some well-deserved respect lol.
