Fried Chicken Wings, Sambal Ikan Bilis, Long Bean Sambal, Sambal Eggs. Presented in a plate on the menu, the first impression when it came in a hard plastic bento box was a little underwhelming for it just wasn't quite as appetising as it may seem. The rice wasn't quite what I had expected — it carries enough coconut-y aroma on first bite but the flavours seemed to have disappeared a little too quickly and the rice could be more fluffy. Sambal Ikan Bilis were a little limp — lacking crisp while the Sambal Egg was pretty normal with nothing much to shout about. The Long Bean Sambal was soft to the bite while carried evident curry flavours with a good amount of creaminess due to coconut milk, though the actual saver if the whole dish was most probably the chicken wings — no doubt small fried crisp with juices locked in within without thick layers of batter to go through; extremely simple yet flavourful. It's not really worth traveling for given its $11.60 (after GST) price tag especially when it's served in a bento box, but the chicken wings are probably something I might crave for somehow ...
