At Fat Lulu's, dessert shouldn't be an afterthought, it should be a priority.

An hour into dinner service, it's all hands on deck at the dessert bar where pastry chefs masterfully prepare their creations.

Upon the recommendation of Chef Sam, we had the "Childhood" ($16++ and cue Michael Jackson's track from Free Willy 2). It was one of the best desserts I had in a long time.

It had elements that most children would have wanted from their parents for good behaviour. Chunks of soft rich dark chocolate cookies, a more atas version of a peanut Magnum ice-cream (which I fell in love with) and a chilled blood-red raspberry granita lined with explosive popping candy.

It was not only delicious but also imaginative. It uplifted the table's spirits and invited conversations of our childhood. How aptly named. #BURPPROVED
