When I saw raving reviews for this tzi char stall, I decided to save it for dinner with my family. But we only left the place with disappointment.
Among all the items we've tried, only the Deep Fried Prawn Ball with Pumpkin and Butter Sauce stood out. We really liked the thick and creamy puree that clung onto the crispy battered exterior. The other signature items - Beancurd with Conpoy & Golden Mushroom and Blackcurrant Pork Ribs - were barely acceptable, with the latter being really tough and lacking meat.
My family's tzi char favourites of black pepper venison, spinach with trio eggs and sambal kangkong weren't great too.
