[Halal | Tasting] Believe it or not, tasting the Angelica Medicinal Duck was my first time trying duck meat. I've learned that it typically has a firmer, tougher texture than chicken meat, and also a slightly ascorbic flavour. Besides those, I also learned that the highlight for many duck meat lovers is the skin - it is the kernel of the flavours from the Chinese spices and sauces that go into concocting this dish. 🤤

Really not bad for a first time, though I think the texture will take some time for me to appreciate. I've heard that there are some places that are able to make duck meat so tender that they melt in your mouth? Of course, I'm guessing they come at a premium price!

I also can understand the hype around the skin. It adds a rich, savoury flavour that is very traditional to the array of Chinese spices, thereby kicking the taste up by a couple of notches. (7.4/10)
