Do note that the kyoho grape softserve is not part of this beverage but an add-on upon special request. Thanks @matchayasg for the special customization and it was amazing how the softserve managed to stay afloat on the non ice blended beverage! ✨ It was initially served in a perfect, straight up form but unfortunately, due to my careless hands, part of it slanted to one side 😢. The triple layer beverage comprised of a base layer of kyoho grape, topped with fresh milk and lastly a freshly whisked uji matcha shot.However this visual effects is only a temporary feast for the sight as you would have to mix everything together to drink it. The end result was one that was refreshing, with a pleasant fruity sweetness and a subtle earthy note of matcha. The matcha flavour is distinct albeit mild, with the bulk of flavours coming from the milky, fruity sweetness of kyoho grapes mixed in with fresh milk that somehow reminded me of a less sweet version of ribena. On the other hand, the kyoho grape softserve could be a tad sweet for those without a sweet tooth and hence I was recommended to consume it separately from the beverage to prevent a conflict with the uji matcha shot. Despite the seemingly exotic combination, the end result surprisingly turned out to be one that was refreshing, enjoyable, though not an ideal choice for the current rainy season 😅 . .
