Comes with 1 protein, 3 sides, 1 sauce and 1 topping.
Really resembles grain trader, but with a much less extensive menu and relatively cheaper.
Base: spinach (choice of quinoa, brown rice, spinach)
Protein: oven baked salmon (choice of chicken, tilapia, salmon)
Toppings: broccoli, baked eggplant, sweet potatoes
Sauce: Japanese curry
Topping: furikake
Salmon was well cooked and it remained moist and flaky! I like that section of the salmon so double points for them! 😛 broccoli was so so, marinated and still crunchy, eggplant was soft and had some kind of bean paste sauce on it. Didn’t particularly like the sweet potatoes as they tasted like they have been soaked in syrup. No idea why I chose the Japanese curry, it’s not my usual, which is the more viscous type like vinaigrettes. Thankfully they didn’t pour it all over my lunch box but only on the salmon itself, so it’s more like a dipping sauce. Which also means to say the leaves were generally dry and had to be eaten w everything else. I guess I would have preferred the dressing to be by the side as a default so at least it was up to me how I’ll utilise it. It was overall an okay meal, but I’ll choose Grain Traders any day. Good option to beat the lunch crowd Id say!
