Had been so thrilled when I saw a pizzeria was opening near my place, but our first visit there yielded nothing but disappointment.

The Bomba (mozzarella, cheese, ham, salame, mushrooms, artichoke, bacon, onion and black olives) was the more successful in terms of taste between the two – partially also because the egg on the Carbo (mozzarella and bacon) turned out obviously overcooked.

The weak tomato sauce slathered over either pizza lacked that robust, herby sweetness I was looking for, instead, tasting terribly bland. If they're using local tomatoes, they need to stop. Even bottled pizza/pasta sauces taste better.
