Generous portions at this price point with the special mix including 2 chicken breast, 2 prawns, long beans, eggplant, mushroom, and onsen egg. Lightly battered, the tendon stands out in being crispy yet not too greasy or fried with the natural flavours of the ingredients coming through. All were fresh, especially the juicy prawns. The chicken breast was thinly pounded for a larger crisp ratio but did wish for juicier meat.

After years of passing by and seeing a queue, finally gave them a try. Overall, a good-value and authentic tendon bowl that met expectations but didn’t wow. The tendon could do with slightly more crisp and flavour (definitely recommend asking for chilli for extra spicy kick and perhaps extra sauce would do the trick). Do eat the bowl warm and fast as it gets soggy pretty fast as well. Bonus points to the free side of smooth chawanmushi, miso soup, and refreshing salad served with each bowl.
