There's a simple mantra for finding good hawker food. Follow the queue. It's like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The best example is the king of pasar malam queues.

With pasar malams staying closed, they've opted to open an outlet in the Woodlands industrial area. Plus point โ€” you don't have to stand in line here with their buzzer queue system.

Overflowing with fillings, these hearty ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜„ ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐—ณ๐—ณ๐˜€ ($3.50) were such decadent snacks. Batter was slightly starchier compared to the Berseh stall but the crust was crispier and crackled thunderously. The fillings held an umami burst of flavour but with some celery sharpness cut through the heaviness. Peanuts then topped it off with some crunch and their earthy funk.

Whilst slightly greasy, it's not hard to find yourself finishing one in a snap. It's a bit ulu but if you have an air fryer just dabao more, because it's just as good the next day with some air frying.
