With matcha powder sprinkled on top of fluffy peaks of matcha cream, the cake was off to a light mousse-like start. Sink your teeth in deeper to reveal a dense sponge chiffon (which, surprisingly even radiated matcha) and of course the best part of it all- packed layers of matcha cream. 🍰

Now, this wasn’t just your run of the mill sweet af matcha cream. No, this puts those wannabe cafes that offer matcha desserts for the sake of incorporating matcha in their menu to SHAME. I was undoubtedly thrown off, and pleasantly surprised, though I would’ve liked thicker layers of sponge cake to balance it. 🥰
