Where do I start? Everything on this plate was simply FAN-TAS-TIC!
Chef Shen Tan's famous tender beef shin rendang was as expected, aromatic to the nth degree, triggering mass nods of approval and murmurs of pleasure all around the table. Equally impressive but in an understated way was her twice-steamed coconut rice that's so fluffy and fragrant - I swear I'm very happy to have it on its own with the freshly-fried crispy ikan bilis and her killer sambals. The darker one's a truly original creation as it has finely-ground Balinese coffee used in a carefully calibrated quantity.
Honestly, I still can't believe this costs $9.90 nett because the sheer amount of labour (and talent) that goes into this is immeasurable.
