Stumbled upon Hak Kee Food, a little coffeeshop stall located along Upper Paya Lebar Road selling dishes from claypot curry chicken to Bak Kut Teh to prawn noodles and to pig intestine soup. With a variety that doesn’t seem to match your usual coffee shop stall, what Hak Kee guarantees is their soupy, hearty, and homely dishes that will surprise you. The claypot curry chicken was rich, creamy, and spicy. Easily one of my favorite curry chickens out there, especially with its affordability and relatively generous portion. Seems like a hidden gem which some regulars go to, especially since it is pretty out of the way. But if you work around the area, I’d recommend trying!
