This place has been picking up traction on Burpple pretty fast in the last couple of weeks, so I decided to drop by and check it out.

Stunning minimal decor, extremely inviting savoury smell (characteristic of Italian herbs), which I thought was rather unusual for an ice-cream boutique. It turns out it was the aroma wafting from the batch of thyme-herbed waffle cone they were whipping up.

I really liked that they were innovative with their flavours such as Strawberry Basil, White Chrysanthemum, Spiced Pear, Pandan. You won't find any chocolate here though - the Hazelnut flavour comes closest to it.

Dulcet and mellow are the words to describe their ice-cream. The thyme cone pairs nicely with it too, packing a more pronounced savoury taste. Makes it refreshing for a hot day, although it's a shame that they only start opening their doors at 4:30pm on weekdays. (and 12pm on weekends)

Nonetheless, Birds of Paradise is a pretty promising place to look out for in the coming weeks and months! 👍🏼 (8/10)
