Genki Sushi needs no introduction. You order through an iPad and the food gets delivered to your table on trains within 3 mins and error-free (they even had a slot on each table to cultivate a self-return system but idk why it was removed), now which other restaurant can be more high-tech than this?
Was craving unagi so I got their unagi with cream cheese ($1.90) and whole unagi ($5.60), of which the latter tasted better and more tender. The 3-flavour salmon ($4.20) is also a must-order everytime. Although the rice is machine-moulded, it still carries a premium quality by being smooth, not mushy, and having a slight hint of vinegar. However, the toppings all felt like they were just placed on and not pressed onto rice, making them separate instead of one sturdy sushi, but you can't complain since they're cheap.
10/10 for novelty, but I definitely felt that the varieties decreased and the taste deproved.
