Recently got into the feed of Straits Times, Penang Island Kitchen is a hidden gem nestled in the West Coast. Has featured the Penang delights of this restaurant in one of my post not so long ago, this time round, i gave the curry fish head a go. The curry contains the usual fish head, long beans, eggplant and some taupok. It's extremely flavorful, with all the contents in the curry creating one whole pot of goodness. The sour Assam taste definitely is super addictive, makes you wanna have another spoonful. And also this curry is not holding back its spicy kick, it certainly packs a punch. The curry is well balanced in it's thickness, it goes so well with a bowl of rice. And last but not least the fish, there's some generous portions of meat in the fish head. $22 for a claypot of assam curry fish head goodness, where you can share it among 4, zi char style is a must try!
