The one and only seafood wanton mee stall in Singapore, the wantons here are filled with crabmeat along with the usual minced pork! πŸ¦€ Each servings comes with charsiew slice, bok choy, shredded crabmeat, deep fried wanton strips and crabmeat wanton on a bed of egg noodles. Along with a small bowl of soup with steamed crabmeat wantons, the egg noodle are tossed in a flavourful , well braised sauce that had a springy, QQ texture that was firm and pleasant to the bite. The char siew slices were tender and well marinated but could have done with less amount of fats and more meat instead. Nevertheless, the highlight here was still the crabmeat wantons- after all, that's what they are famous for. The deep fried version executed an ideal crisp exterior with fresh, juicy fillings. Just like the deep fried version, the steamed wantons were plump and juicy, with tiny cubes of water chestnuts within adding a pleasant crunch factor to its soft, flimsy skin. If u still can't enough of the crabs, there's even some shredded crabmeat slices (real leggit crabmeat) atop the noodles. Optional sambal chilli was provided at the side for that extra spice which was a great enhancement with its shiok, lingering spiciness that I even requested for more! The only gripe was the location that's pretty inaccessible unless you are staying in the vicinity. .
