You know those Taiwanese versions of pineapple tarts that we love in Singapore? Din Tai Fung has a Mid Autumn box of these, all individually wrapped in a box specially designed for Mid Autumn. The box features the brand’s mascots, Bao Zai (包仔) dressed up as Moon Goddess Chang E (嫦娥) along with Hou Yi (后羿) against a pineapple moon (swipe for photo of box).

The crust is crumbly and not oily, while the fillings are not too sharp in its pineapple flavours, yet rich in aroma. So these are not too sweet nor sour, very nice. Because they're free from preservatives, be sure to finish them soon after opening it.
