I cannot believe it took me this long to discover @twomenbagelhouse. I am totally addicted to their bagels now. There are the luxurious ones like the S&S here, but even the plain ones taste amazing with their schmears. So glad I found this gem in the village! #twomenbagelhouse #burpple

Order this if you're a meat lover! Very generous with the steak slices which were juicy and had a nice hint of smokiness, topped with sweet caramelised onion, tangy mustard and a bit of heat from the jalapeno, with emmental cheese and mushrooms. Picked sesame so there was a little more crunch to the chewy bagel (which is lovingly handmade). While mostly tender, certain parts of the steak was a little tough for my jaws, but I actually really enjoyed this overall. Small but flavour-packed, super filling and a satisfyingly messy affair.

We tried the SnS ($14) (slices of beautifully marinated beef paired with mushrooms, caramelized onions and emmental cheese), Avo-Baco ($13) (avocado and bacon) and the Spicy Tuna Tataki ($14). Personally loved the SnS and Tuna Tataki more than the Avo-baco just because I felt like they were more exciting in terms of flavor. But still gotta say that i loved all of them and will definitely be coming back for more! :P

The S&S: one of Two Men Bagel's newer creations, and an absolute shebang on the tastebuds. Their signature handrolled bagel generously stuffed with slices of juicy steak, earthy shrooms, emmental cheese, caramelised onions, jalapeño and greens — trust me, it tastes every bit as yummy as it sounds. The combination's really savoury, so I'd suggest opting for a slightly sweeter bagel (say their onion or cinnamon raisin?) for a balanced combo!

I'm a huge fan of their Rodeo bagelwich which IMHO is utterly addictive and absolutely delish (trust me, I've led many down that dark path), so heartbroken's an understatement when I found it's no longer on TMBH's menu. In its place is Brisk: generous, chunky slices of salted brisket, melted emmental cheese, bread and butter pickles and mustard. To my utter relief, this is nothing short of stellar as well. Brisket's unbelievably moist and juicy, literally just melts in your mouth, and the seasoning is just spot on. It is, however, fattier than the older Rodeo; those who prefer a slightly leaner lunch should opt for the S&S instead 😉

I was never too big a fan of bagels but this changed my opinion of bagels completely! The garlic bagel was super fragrant with speckles of crispy garlic on the top. The beef was done really well - nothing like the other steaks in sandwiches which are tough and everything gets dragged along in one bite. This was tender and separated on each bite. Overall it was a good mix of flavours with the oozy cheese, juicy mushrooms and tangy mustard!
