My stance on vegans might have been softened just a little by the extremely tasty food dished up at Loving Hut. The authentic fried rice taste shines through in the smoky, belacan infused grains, interlaced with peas, carrots, corn and "prong" - a soy substitute that almost looks and tastes like genuine prawn, albeit with a firmer bite.
The fall-apart tender mock satay smothered in thick peanut sauce was surprisingly meaty and very close to the real mccoy.
Additionally, the generously portioned set comes with keropok, achar, samosa and a rather simple but good sweet corn soup.
