O Mamma Mia (The Clementi Mall)

O Mamma Mia, a chain eatery from Spain (they have 23 outlets), serves up really affordable pizzas. There's another outlet in Causeway Point, and one set to open soon in Changi City Point. What we love most is that the pizzas are served by the slice — great if you're dining alone, or with friends who can't agree on toppings! There are 15 flavours, and prices average at $4. Despite the affordable price, the quality is impeccable. Most of the ingredients, including the thin-crust pizza dough, are imported from Italy. The dough, in particular, crisps up beautifully when baked. Some favourites among the Burpple community include the cheesy 5 Formaggi ($3.90); the 5 Terre ($4.20) topped with pesto, mushrooms, tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella; and the O Mamma Mia ($4.20) topped with ham, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella and egg. There's even Nutella ($3.50) for dessert, it hits the spot with the classic combination of Nutella and sliced banana. The pizza and drink combo is great value at $5.50. Pro tip: Seating is limited so consider getting your pizzas to go.

Highlights includes: 5 Terra ($4.2/slice) with Fresh Boletus Mushrooms, Homemade Pesto, Tomatoes & lots & lots of Parmesan + Mozzarella Cheese; 5 Formaggi ($3.9/slice) with Mozzarella, Parmesan, Gorgonzola, Provolone & a Secret Cheese Blend; Prosciutto (in frame above $3.9/slice) with Prosciutto, House-Made Tomato Sauce & Oregano; O Mamma Mia (in frame below $4.2/slice) with Ham, Mushroom, Egg, Tomato & Mozzarella; Pizza Nutella ($3.5/slice), a comforting one top with Nutella + Banana Slices!

Pasta selections are of noteworthy over here too serving up Gnocchi & Strozzapreti which are not commonly found in causal diners. Pick from 5 sauces (Bolognese, Arrabbiata both $7.9, Pesto, 4 Cheese, Boletus E Tartufo last 3 $8.2) & 5 types of pastas (Tagliatelle, Strozzapreti, Gnocchi, Garganelli, Bigoli); I fell in love with the Gnocchi with 4 Cheese Sauce (in frame bottom right $8.2) combo!
