Not the ordinary curry as they added ALOT of pineapple in their curry. Good value!
Not sure how this stall is related to the original Hoover Rojak located at Hoover Cinema in Balestier Road, back in the 70s. Regardless of its origins, this stall serves an excellent plate of rojak with generous portion of crushed peanuts and prawn paste that has such savoury thick & gooey consistency. And we β€οΈ that the you tiao (fried dough fritters) & tau pok (dried beancurd puffs) remains its crunchiness, even after a good mix with the prawn paste sauce.

What makes a good popiah? Well... I have never been particular about popiahs until the day my dad got me one from Block 496 Coffeeshop, Coffee United (same coffee shop as the dry mee hoon kueh I posted previously) a few years back. I find that it is surprisingly difficult to get good popiah here in the west though of course there is no lack of choices. I always thought that since popiah is a healthy food (i think it is anyway) it could taste sort of bland so all those that I had in the past really pale in comparison to the ones I had from the stall at Block 496 Coffeeshop. Just behind the stall selling coffee, the popiah here is definitely not bland and is often spotted with a queue. My favourite popiah stall thus far as the filling is moist, crunchy and packed tightly with the thin popiah skin!
