I'm not a huge fan of green tea desserts, but I'm a Chin Chin Labs believer and they didn't disappoint with this.

The interior walls of the cone are smeared with homemade marshmallow, an ethereally soft, fluffy thing that cushions a voluptuous scoop of nitrogen-frozen green tea ice cream – this is not 100% silky, but only because it's studded with bits of bittersweet chocolate.

After making a silly loop around half the market, we finally spotted Chin Chin Labs, which is actually in near plain view, not far from the entrance of the market.

Apple Turnover is one of their special flavours this week, and it is brilliantly sour;. green apples, for sure. The nitrogen-frozen ice cream is smooth and silky, its sharp tartness foiled just slightly by complementing shards of crispy phyllo pastry. Love!
