Featuring G-Lat's local flavour ice cream, this luscious roundabout of waffle is quite the contender for good desserts. While looks may have you fooled that it's cloyingly sweet, clever ice cream picks will help keep sweetness at bay. Expect a balance between refreshing and rich from their bestselling coconut gula melaka ice cream and lay it on that crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside pandan waffle. This one's priced at RM24 and recommended for sharing.
Aglio olio spaghetti cooked with dried shrimp chilli (I think) and served with grilled chicken. Pasta was cooked al dente, mild spicy flavour but chicken was dry. Maybe will give the waffles a try if I do dine here again.
Undercooked edges. Taste just okay. Only thing I liked was the generous serving of coleslaw.
A new cafe spotted in OUG which previous were the Butter and beans, now this new cafe is selling hot food and wide range of drinks to choose from. Tried their seafood tomyam with penne , pizzas and their waffle with homemade ice cream and everything is so good! The Gula Melaka latte was a huge hit too 😋
Formerly Butter + Beans OUG, the cafe saw its end with the franchise and has now been resurrected as Chaplang Kafe. The localised name sets a playful tone for the establishment now revamped in mint condition — its walls are even painted in mint green — while its highly residential locale makes it an ideal spot to hang out after a family dinner. Share a few laughs over the Bulatan Kg. Pandan (RM24) waffle. Cheekily named after an actual roundabout in KL, the dessert features a crisp yet fluffy pandan waffle with four scoops of ice-cream, pandan kaya drizzle and gula Melaka syrup. The irresistible ice-cream is supplied by G-Lat and flavours are as local as they can get, ranging from Neslo to soursop and kaya toast.
