Software Engineer, Web, Singapore

This is a full-time position and starts immediately.

The Engineering team is looking for product-aware engineers who are thoughtful, responsible, and passionate about joining them in building a product that helps people find the best places to enjoy their meals. We’re looking for someone who is not only well-versed in web development, but also has a strong understanding of good UX. We believe that great product people are able to focus on the details, and adapt to the changing needs of users.

What you’ll do

Build new and key features for the Burpple web platform by working closely with the product and design teams
Analyze and optimize performance and reliability of the web app
Build a high performance dynamic web application with technologies such as React, Flux, Webpack, ES6, Node.js, etc.
Take full ownership of projects from design (in collaboration with the design team) to implementation to deployment

What we’re looking for

Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
Familiarity with all aspects of MVC web applications (especially those built on Ruby on Rails)
Proven ability to ship beautiful, stable, and high-performance desktop and mobile web applications from start to finish
Experience with automated testing framework
Strong Computer Science background
