Tender, juicy and not too fatty roasted duck over a plate of rice drizzled with braised gravy. The skin is thin and crispy which goes well with the flavourful roast duck meat. It also does not have any gamey taste. It gets crowded during the peak lunch hours on weekdays so it's advisable to go slightly earlier/later to get a table 》$7

Renowned for their excellent roast meats, this stall, in operation since December 1991, is perennially popular with blue and white collar workers in the area.
.
Their succulent Chinese Cantonese style roast duck is meaty and juicy and tender with a light chew, carrying bold smoky meaty savoury salty sweet flavour.
.
Plated over fluffy white rice, drizzled with soy braising gravy and a little duck fat oil. This layers an earthy savoury fatty flavour over the grainy sweet notes of the rice, yum.

Roasted duck noodles with veggie @ $8

Came at 2pm and there's only roasted duck left even though I wanted to have the char siew siew yoke.

Had the noodles and asked for more veggie and was a bit surprised to be charged $8, think the normal portion is $6 and another $2 was for the extra veggie.

The dish was generally slightly above average overall though not the best I've had. The duck meat tasted good and the texture was quite tender too. The noodles was also not bad though could be a bit more al dente. The sauce was really good though. And the taste of the noodles was somehow accentuated by the green chilli.

Hope to come and try the charsiew siewyoke another time but will need to adjust my expectations for the price.

For generous portions and good meats, not the best I've had, but if you need a protein fix in Bugis, and don't want western, this is great

A huge portion for $8, definitely enough of a protein fix after gym. The duck was tender and not too fatty while the char siew was great but lean (just the way I like it, but i do know lots of people who prefer fatty char siew).

Taste: 4/10 (The char siew was dry and the roasted pork, tough and not crispy at all.. We used to rush over to Alex’s for lunch all the way from Tanjong Pagar when I was clocking my internship.. and I remember the meats to be much tastier. Meats aside, the legendary dark sauce was also lacking in flavour, just plain sweet.. Will opt for Fatty Cheong over this any day!)

Price: 8/10 (We paid $8-10 per pax for 2 plates of rice with an assortment of meat and a bowl of salted vegetable soup.. Food here is very reasonably priced considering the rental cost)
