So I was on a culinary adventure today- starting with a local market tour. I was pretty surprised to see a ladyboy as our guide for the market segment, but I guess that's nothing unusual in Thailand. I love going to a local market because this is the source of all things thai and is an indication how the people lived their lives. Very impressed with the display of curries and spices, how fragrant the kaffir leaves and sweet basil leaves were, the whole process of making coconut cream and milk (what's the diff? first time water is squeezed out of the coconut is cream, second time is called milk).
