Beef noodle dish was good: noodles were soft, beef slices and balls tasted fresh with no strong beef smell and the gravy was thick and delicious. However, the aircon inside the store was weak, resulting in a humid dining experience that almost prompted me to quickly finish my meal and leave

For fans of Tanuki Rawโ€™s Truffle Yakiniku, the Gyudon by 2Six Cafe is a close, more tummy-filling alternative that is located in the neighbourhood for Easties ๐Ÿฝ.

Not only is the beef grilled to a perfect medium, it is also perfectly seasoned with pepper and salt๐Ÿง‚ which goes really well with their Japanese rice ๐Ÿš. In addition, their menu is a mix of both Western ๐Ÿ” and Japanese ๐Ÿฑ cuisine so you can also consider trying out their Supreme BBQ Burger (which their staff mentioned that the portion was โ€œjust niceโ€ for guys and might be โ€œtoo muchโ€ for girls).

My friend and I also got the tea and ice chocolate whereby the tea was great (they even allowed up to 3 refills for free ๐Ÿ‘) but the ice chocolate was so-so. As we got the Burpple Beyond set that included the crepe cake ๐Ÿฐ, I got the Strawberry flavour ๐Ÿ“ while my friend got the Earl Grey โ˜•๏ธone. As of this review, I had not yet tried the strawberry one as I brought it home as takeaway, but the Earl Grey crepe cake was quite disappointing ๐Ÿ˜ข for what seems to be one of their signature products like their Gyudon (which was amazing). To put it frankly, it tasted like Bengawan Soloโ€™s kueh lapis filled with some artificial cream so I will advise to stay away from this ๐Ÿ˜….

Other than that, this place is a great place for those who live in the East and do not want to travel to town as it offers a great choice of mostly delicious food which are reasonably priced ๐ŸŽ‰. Not to mention, it has a chill environment with a decor which is really pleasing to the eye, really friendly staff (who went out of the way to even stop the tea from over-brewing so that we can taste it at its best ๐Ÿ’ฏ) and just an awesome place to talk with friends!

I will definitely revisit this place just for the Gyudon and drinks โ˜บ๏ธ Keep it up 2Six!

For those who want directions :
Take the Downtown Line to Tampines West Station (Exit B) ๐Ÿš‰ and take bus 18/28/59 ๐Ÿš from there to drop off at East Tampines Community Center bus stop (around 4-5 stops away). From there it is just a 5 min walk! ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
