Generous Protein Portion! The menu was a bit limited cause they said they’re only operating half day now, but I ordered the salmon and the beef bowl and both met my expectation! The beef was of abundance and was seasoned well, the mentaiko salmon was huge and thick too! I would recommend buying these bowls if you want a quick fuss free meal, but for a variety of choices, not so.

Custard Chou Chou Basically an awesome Custard filled donut. They have a variety of French pastries here, and all look damn awesome. The chou chou is Sinful and a must have here at choupinette. Which are basically donuts.

3-Course Dinner \\ Escargot Clean, tender and juicy escargot cooked in garlic parsley butter then served warm. The garlicky sauce is almost as delicious as the escargot themselves! \\ Chicken Fricassee Pieces of chicken meat braised at low temperature with white cream sauce. Served with a side of potato gratin and salad. The chicken was breast meat hence they are a little tough in texture but the light and creamy sauce sort of compensates for the dryness. The rich and creamy potato gratin was good and I wished it came in a slightly bigger share. \\ Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream Warm and nutty chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This dessert fell short of expectations. The size of the brownie is quite small in comparison with the scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was icier and lacks a creamy texture. Prawn Aglio Olio The Prawn Aglio Olio ($16) is the bomb - the tiger prawns are huge, crunchy and succulent, and the al dente linguine tossed in olive oil, garlic confit, mushroom, chilli and Italian parsley is very aromatic. Love this!

Steep’s Breakfast Steep’s Breakfast ($19) comes with sourdough toast, eggs, turkey bacon, herb sausage, avocado, sautéed mushroom, mixed greens, tater tots and roasted tomato. This is a very hearty big breakfast and I love the variety found in one plate.

Mango Berry Sunset [$20] Created in collaboration with Tanqueray, this cocktail was a very bright concoction, both visually and in taste, with quite a sweet-tasting mix of Tanqueray London Dry, Raspberry Puree, Lemon Juice and Mango.

Donut Balls [$15] We had the house-made Donut Balls for dessert. They are freshly fried on order and comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, crumbles, blueberries and a sweet blueberry date compote. The outmost layer of each ball had a pretty nice crunch, but it was unfortunately too dense and doughy past that.

Veggie Puttanesca Pizza [$22] The Veggie Puttanesca Pizza is a new seasonal main, featuring an all-vegetable assortment of toppings on a base decked with puttanesca sauce. It includes Kalamata olives, capsicum, Roma tomatoes, button mushrooms, yellow onions and arugula. Not a huge fan of the pizza base, as it was a little more dry and biscuity.

Seafood donburi is really good We tried out the seafood donburi and truffle beef donburi. Both were good, but the seafood donburi was the better of the 2 with the variety of seafood (unagi, seaweed, shrimp, scallop). With the egg on top of the seafood donburi, the entire combination blended very well together. The beef was overall good, just with some bits slightly tougher to chew.

Seafood Donburi In Hotstone Bowl - Yum 🤤 This had a nice umami taste of the seafood mix- scallop, prawn🍤, fish roe, unagi and topped with an onsen egg. Yummilicious! As it is being served in a hotstone bowl, the dish came hot and I love the rice which is fragrantly charred. Highly recommended! 😋

When Sichuan Spice Meets Thai’s Glad to be there at the Chengdu Bowl X Hue Restaurant pop up event! Featuring their Spice Bowl that consist of White Rice, Onsen Egg, 3 Sichuan Sides, 3 Thai sides and 2 proteins (Mala Pork Belly & Thai Spicy Chicken). Also had their Minced Garlic Brocolli and Peach Oolong Cold Brew Tea from METIME TEA. Long story short, I was belly satisfied! The marriage of flavours definitely caught me by surprise…😉 Thanks Burpple for the kind invite! Can’t wait to be back to try other Chengdu Bowls (2 for the price of 1) with Burpple Beyond.

Chirashi set meal Came here for dinner. Set meal is quite substantial and it’s a good meal if you are hungry. Wanted to try this outlet since they had chawamushi. You don’t actually save much with the burpple deal. But it a good option if you want to have a big meal and some chirashi/chawamushi.

Marina Square give’s chawan mushi with ikura as sides Ordered 2 sets of Signature Kaisendon. Was surprised that they gave chawan mushi as side. The chef really put his heart into this dish. The other items are normal. The outlet manager helped to serve customers doubling as cashier, cleaner and receptionist . Pocket poorer by $38.82 for 2 sets.
