not a big fan of eggs ben but damn i am luvin this crab benedict!!!! egg was done perfect, super runny super creamy :-) the crab cakes definitely gets all the credit! the flavor balance was on point and you can really taste the crab meat in thereeeee; pancakes were nothing extraordinary though. luvin the vibes at this crazy cozy place
They forgot our order so the waiter kindly insisted on getting us complimentary drinks! so i had another cup of coffee and he even gave us another slice of cheesecake for free! talk about good service woohoo :-) food was AWESOME! definitely go for the fries haha i've never had fries that tasted more natural, though it does get a lil salty towards the end. Pulled Pork Burger was great, i especially loved the bun! (not so much the sauce though). The cheesecake was interesting it had a really smooth and creamy texture but didn't come on as too heavy either so i'd recommend that too. Coffee isn't the best but alright with a good meal! AMBIENCE IS PERFECT THOUGH hehe beautiful place
i haven't had more satisfying sushi than the ones here man...... burnt a hole in my wallet but definitely worth it. be ready to splurge because the prices are quite steep but definitely go for the salmon aburi soft shell crab roll!
yes i know i am almost a year late but i finally tried the raved about sushi rolls!! well they definitely were delicious but overpriced as well :/( i doubt i'd go for them again but they're worth a try! especially if you like rice bowls; each bite was like a mini rice bowl
would usually go straight for the scrambled eggs but decided to try the one with kale instead and it reminded me of taokaenoi hahaha..... slightly too oily and salty :-( the chai latte was a tad bit too strong on the spices mmmm
daaaaaamn the tater tots are so good i would have them a billion times more!!!!! i like how the menu has all sorts of greasy guilty pleasures and would make a great place for a night out w pals! the flavors are amazing and makes all the guilt that comes after worth it woohoo
was going for Neft but CSS doesn't have them so i asked the waitress for a good vodka she'd recommend and she gave me the Vestal and IM LUVIN IT!!! had it on the rocks and it was really smooth and gave me the kick i needed
this place is SUPER hard to find it is tucked away right beside the emerald looking building but because it is sooooo small you might just miss it if you aren't looking out for it. more of a takeaway coffee place with only 2 seats, they have one of the cutest interior designs ever!!! coffee was great but the sort with really low acidity; cakes and cookies looked amazing and i'd love to pop by and give them a try next time
so when lokal first popped up, they served AMAZING french toast and banana bread drenched in the most amazing sauce. however the food starting getting real shit and all the flavors just weren't hitting the right spots. a year later i decided to give lokal another try and I AM SO GLAD THAT THEY ARE BACK IN THE GAME wooooooo! this time the french toast wasn't drenched in syrup but flavors were so on point so i guess that worked out. also, the sausages were AMAZING and a must-get item!!
i thought the pancakes were too thick to enjoy and definitely better to share. the salmon dish was nice but nothing too special; on the other hand my friend seemed to enjoy the eggs florentine mmmm the menu has loads of food and really does make me wanna go back and try the rest even tho they didn't leave the big an impression after my first trip.
(just a word of caution: this place is really hard to find if you are using google maps so just keep your eyes open for the sign)
haven't been here in a while and i really like the new (or not so new) interior design! super chic and clean haha of course i had to get the raved about breakfast item and was definitely not disappointed. cheese was thick and eggs done just right. i don't like avocados and smoked salmon but they couldn't provide me with an alternative which i thought was a real joy kill :-( i mean is it that hard to throw in some sausages or sth..............
tucked away near one of the entrances to mt faber, the entertainer's app brought me here and boy am i glad! soft shell crab curry was just about as awesome as one can imagine it to be and the creamy mushrooms were delicious as well. the only downside was the really horrible burnt coffee :-(
