Finding this place can be quite tricky. You'll have to, first, find SS15's Sangkaya then look for the door inside the shop itself to get into this shady kind of place. Jibril itself looks like a lounge instead of a restaurant. Despite it's shady looks, they don't serve alcohol at all!

Jibril is famous for their salted egg butter cause chicken (RM14.90). The chicken chunks is fried with salted egg yolk with a side of creamy butter sauce with some chili padi cuts. My meal was terrific. When most of places I went make their salted egg yolk sauce sweet, Jibril make theirs savory and salty, perfect to be eaten with rice. To finish the meal even more perfect have their sweet and creamy non-alcoholic butterbeer mixed with ice cream called Potter (RM7.90).

A reminder for future dining experience that Jibril allows indoor smoking.

This newly opened fast food chain is located in Asian Avenue, Sunway Pyramid, replacing the old corner where it used to be Yaki San. Crispy Crust offers varieties of meals combination. Choices of chicken and fish are on the options with a lot of cooking choices. They also serve pasta aside from rice as the carbs option.

I ordered their fried chicken with mushroom sauce rice. The chicken was fried to crisp with tender and juicy meat. Love herb flavor from the chicken crust! Every set meal is also served with a small salad side.

Starting from RM10.90, Crispy Crust is another cheap meal place in Sunway Pyramid to be reckoned with.

This is the legendary roast pork from Pudu. Please, please, please if you want to come eat at this place, do not be late! Coming early is super recommended because if you miss just 5 minutes of their opening hour (12:30PM), you'll have to wait for more hours.

Each portion of every protein cost RM16. If you consider this is more expensive than the usual chicken rice in food courts, you won't until the majestic roast pork melts in your mouth. Crispy pork skin with the perfect ratio of fat and meat, completed with the savory seasoned pork.

Truly the best siu yoke in KL!

Mikey's other branch of pizzeria is located in MidValley. I tried a slice of their Classic New York (RM9.95) and it wasn't disappointing. The huge slice of pizza can perfectly satisfy your cravings for a decent pizza.

A slice may cost quite a lot but I can assure you that their slices are enough for a single meal. Don't forget to redeem your 20% discount for their frozen custard in every pizza purchase!

My other try of Mikey's Frozen Custard, and this time I get to try their bun for additional RM2. It was worth the money as I didn't expect how they would serve the frozen custard.

My set of frozen custard that I had was called Breakfast All Day (RM9.88), consisting of cornflakes with drizzles of teh tarik and espresso sauce. The frozen custard was placed in the middle of half hollow bread, the topped with cornflakes and drizzled with sauce. The bun later hot-pressed like an UFO shape, cut into half, and then added with a bit of powdered sugar.

Everything looks and feels nostalgic to me because this is the fancy version of my hometown's Medan Ice Cream. The taste was great! Love the subtle crispy bun with the creamy frozen custard combination. However the espresso taste beat the teh tarik flavor out so the espresso taste was the one that stood out. I really recommend this ice cream bun for a medium sized dessert session!

After Black somehow is also famous for their meals so I decided to try it. I had their ultimate value set meal with a choice of Garlic Herb Roasted Whole Chicken Leg with Carbonara Linguine (RM17.90).

The pasta was okay, but what I love was the generous parmesan cheese sprinkle on top of it. The chicken was unexpectedly good! Most of the time I don't like to recommend heavy meals served on cafes but this is an exception. The chicken was grilled tenderly with strong herb flavor. The additional honey drizzle empowers the herb flavor. It will be even more perfect if they drizzle more honey on it!

After Black is a cafe located right accross Sunway University and located in same row as Garage51. This cafe is always filled with people who craves for food or just simply doing work while hanging out.

On this visit, I tried their homemade cake available at that day, a macadamia cheesecake with salted caramel sauce (RM10.90) with a cup of latte (RM9.90). Everything was okay. Their salted caramel sauce on the cake was ok, I mean the combination between the sweetness and saltiness was okay. The cheesecake would be better if it could be smoother though.

This is Green Tea Eggio which is one of Brewyard's latest dessert creations, combining ice cream and their so called bubble waffle which is the notorious Hong Kong egg waffle. This Eggio costs RM16 which is quite pricey with a medium sized paper cup.

Despite the size of the cup, it is filled full with the egg waffle itself and ice cream, topped again with lots of toppings. The green tea waffle is quite dense and crisp but still fluffy enough to be enjoyed. I love the tutti frutti ice cream! It reminds me a lot of those childhood ice cream sold when I was little. This cup will later be filled with really generous amount of red beans, green tea jelly, mini marshmallows, and then finished beautifully with green tea pocky sticks and whipped cream. This might be enjoyed so much by green tea fans because of the amount of green tea elements inside the cup.

First impression is this cafe has a cute logo. The cafe's interior was really simplistic with some couches that looks homey and comfortable. Unfortunately all of them are occupied when I visited the place.

I went to this place in a mission to get my hands on their Snoopy & Peanuts waffle to proclaim myself as a good Peanuts fan. I was super disappointed when I knew that they ran out of that choice of waffle when it was just 3PM. So, learning from my experience, you better come early to reserve your favorite choice of waffle before they ran out! Instead, I got myself Big Grey Wolf (RM19), charcoal waffle served with earl grey ice cream, almond praline and fresh strawberries. The waffle here is delightfully crispy on the outside, light on the inside, and smells fragrant. Earl grey tea ice cream was creamy, sweet and rich enough, making a perfect combination with the charcoal waffle. The almond praline was sweet and crunchy, the strawberry added subtle sweetness and acidity to the overall palette.

I also tried their unique lavender latte (RM10) which was very fragrant. I didn't have the heart to drink it, I just want to smell the lovely fusion scent of coffee and lavender.

On my next visit I would like to try the cute little cakes displayed on their cabinet.

Hungry Bunch is a famous place to have your birthday as you can get tower drink of your choice on the occasion, at least in my circle of friendship. Nevertheless, Hungry Bunch also serves varieties of food starting from local to Western dishes in Sunway Pyramid.

One of their recommended menu was Grilled Chicken in Kelantan Percik Sauce (RM12). The boneless chicken meat grilled with a generous amount of creamy Kelantan Percik sauce. The spices surprisingly complements well with the creaminess of the sauce. The fragrant jasmine rice makes a perfect companion for the chicken and the sauce, especially with another pleasing strong taste of pandan leaves in every bite. The shrimp crackers complements everything with their additional texture.

Enjoy this dish at weekend to enjoy their weekend deal which consists of getting soup of the day, iced lemon tea, and banana split in addition of only RM10!
