Aji Ichi offers Japanese food reasonably priced๐Ÿคฉ (~$16.50).

This set came with Miso Soup, Chawanmushi and really yummy Salmon Sashimi & Avocado served over Sushi Rice! I'm so sorry, I only snapped the photo of my food after I had already scraped off the Cucumber and Avocado to the side ๐Ÿ˜ฃ.

Communal Coffee is situated relatively near Bras Basah MRT/Bencoolen MRT! Don't be surprised at how empty and quiet the cafe is during its morning/afternoon operating hours.

Ordered their Build-A-Brunch (originally ~ $18.80, but Burpple offers 1-1). Got to pick 2 proteins, 1 delight, 1 topping and 1 dressing AND it came with Salad and Sourdough Toast.๐Ÿ˜‹

Chose their Scrambled Eggs & Smoked Salmon, Sauteed Button Mushroom, Caramelised Onion and Caesar Sauce. Loved their Smoked Salmon and Sauteed Button Mushroom - wasn't too salty! Loved their Sourdough Toast though, it was so yummy - a good balance between the crisp on the outside and the softness on the inside.

Guess the only downside was the Scrambled Eggs being slightly too oily for my liking and the Caramelised Onion being slightly too sweet for my liking๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

DIY Regular Bowl consists of 1 base (you can choose 2 bases, you get 1/2 portion of each), 2 proteins, 3 sides, 1 topping, 1 dressing (~$15).

For the base of my salad, I like to request for it to be 1/2 Romaine Lettuce (cold) and 1/2 Linguine pasta (cold). For my proteins, I'll get Baked Herb Thyme Chicken and top up $1 for Smoked Salmon. For my sides, my go-tos are their Kimchi, Sous Vide Egg, Tofu, Button & Shimeji Mushrooms (quite dependant on my mood ๐Ÿคช). For my topping, I like to get the Dried Cranberries - they help add a sweet touch! As for the dressing, I love their Sesame Miso (it's oil free)!

Overall, I'd say that the salad bowl is value-for-money! For my friends that don't really enjoy vegetables, they're actually fine with dining at Toss & Turn because of the variety of options that'd allow them to consume as little veggies as they possibly can! Love that the portion is generous.

Only thing that I think can be improved upon - the amount of oil, find it a little oily since the Pasta is ago olio style and the Baked Herb Thyme Chicken is a little on the oily end ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Till this day, Hvala is my go-to place to grab Matcha-related items ๐Ÿต

For their Iced Matcha Hojicha Latte (~$7.80), you don't get to ask for it unsweetened! The Hojicha takes the syrup form so you can only request for it to be less sweet - less Hojicha syrup.

My personal favourite is their Iced Matcha Latte (~$7.30). I like it that I get to request for it to be unsweetened! I really love how thick the Matcha tastes ๐Ÿต

Also, I prefer the Chijmes outlet to their 111 outlet, purely because of the layout and ambience! But be prepared to queue, Hvala's a popular hang out spot! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Ordered the Soy Citrus Salmon at (originally $12.90, but thank you Burpple for the 1-1).

Since I like to consume a meal that has more proteins, I added on the spicy chicken, tofu and mushroom. Didn't favour their chicken as much as the salmon, t'was a little too soggy for my taste buds ๐Ÿฅบ But the tofu and mushroom was yummy.

Didn't make the wrong choice in getting them to serve me the Apple Cider Gochujjang sauce by the side (they're super generous with the sauce), but I prefer less sauce mixed into my rice so I like that t'was served separately so that I could control the amount of sauce I wanted to add in!
