This grillhouse's got a nice range of beef cuts, charcoal-grilled upon order for a smoky steak dinner. Whether you prefer the Porterhouse (from $29.90) or the Rib-eye ($33.90), expect to enjoy the hunk of meat topped with a pat of rich, fragrant avocado butter.

Love their great value buffets, which have a very wide variety of dishes, which cater to even the most fussy foodies. Protip: their VIP Members get a 1-for-1 buffet on their birthday month #burpple

If it's steak you're in the mood for, this cosy 10-seater spot in Serene Centre (it shares the space with Sugarhaus) is perfect for the whole steakhouse experience at budget-friendly prices. It's certainly found a fan in Burpple Tastemaker Emily S, who has raving reviews of the meat. There are only two steaks on the menu — the Flat Iron ($22), which is leaner and offers great bite, and the Short Rib ($25), which has lovely marbling and a more decadent mouthfeel. The steaks arrive well seasoned, which warrants the acompanying chimichurri unnecessary, alongside a little bowl of house salad tossed in vinaigrette. Sides are priced at an additional $5 each, but worth the splurge. Consider the juicy Sauteed Thyme Mushrooms ($5) or luscious Guanciale Mac & Cheese ($5). Desserts still aren't stellar, so save your money for something else.
Avg Price: $25 per person

Gave Wanton Fu a try as it was on Burpple Beyond. Noodles were very springy, had a good QQ texture. The small portion of wanton noodles came with three boiled wantons, and vegetables. Noodles were good with the chilli! But use sparingly as it's very spicy.

Fried wantons were nothing to shout about though. Unfortunately our experience was marred by how they got our order wrong and subsequently forgot our order entirely. Was quite a disappointing experience, especially as we noticed that there was a neighbouring table of bloggers - the standard of service that differed was rather appalling to be honest.

But food's good. Worth a try... Hope they remember your order 😉

Got free refill of soup but the guy only came around once.
Accompanied with rice 🍚 (S$1++/ bowl), Bean Curd Skin/ Tau Ke (S$3.80++), and You Tiao (S$2.50++). The meat was slightly more tough than preferred.

Whimsical presentation and decor aside, this Crawford Street joint also serves up pretty mean waffles and ice cream worth the trip down.

With Burpple Beyond, we tried Earl Grey Lavender and Butterscotch Almond Waffle Set at a reason price of $ 12. The Earl Grey Lavender was a tad too sweet but the Butterscotch Almond was really good leaving a unique aftertaste. Would recommend the Butterscotch Almond!

Verdict: 3.5/ 5

The hojicha soft serve was super awesome! Tasty and not too sweet! It’s not super milky, kinda like a mix between ice cream and sorbet. Really wanna comment on the great service I received here. The staff are extremely welcoming and makes the place feel cosy. Also a nice ambience to chill with your friends 👫

snatched the 1-1 using burpple— this whole set for 11.90!!!! it’s soooo worth it. you get 2 soft serves & 2 drinks of your choice and it’s perfect to share with a friend. got the uji matcha mixed with hokkaido milk soft serve and it was sooo good. the matcha is slightly bitter but together with the milk, it helps offset the bitterness & strikes the perfect balance of sweetness!! i got the mango fizz for the drink (weird combination) but it was really good & kinda refreshing too. overall, 8.5/10!!! super filling & satisfying

Probably because as all humans do we judge the book by it’s cover? 🤣 But this place really grew on me with each passing moment.

C+ stands for community plus and what’s interesting about them is that they actually gather various best sellers cakes from craft & home bakers and present le creme-of-the-crop for their patrons which is AWESOME because any choice would be a good choice? LOL. Perhaps it was CNY day 3, there weren’t much to choose from. We had their Yuzu Cheesecake & also a Nutella Chocolate tart! It was good but not like mind-blowing lol. 😋 BUT what blew me away was what happened next!
.
While chilling there their friendly staff explained that we could watch Netflix (no chilling please) or play PS4 😱 etc etc and do we did. We felt so comfortable and at home that we end up spending 4-5 there hours just munching on our cakes, watching Netflix, drinking coffee, tea then beer. SO HOMELY! I’ve never felt so at home at a cafe before! 真的很 Shiok! So if you want to goto a joint with an array of yummy cakes from all over without the hassle of going to so many cafes or if you just want a quiet place to slack and chill, this is it.
