Yoyogi is one of my favourite dinner places to go to satisfy my sashimi cravings or my jap food cravings! The sashimi served are extremely fresh and I recommend the yellowtail fish sashimi with truffle, it's infused with just the right amount of truffle and one plate feels like it isn't enough!! Generally, I feel that everything on the menu is very satisfying and the portions are just right so you won't feel too guilty after a meal! I wouldn't say that this is the best, and I wouldn't say that the food is bad, it's very satisfying in general. I wouldn't die for the food here everyday but whenever I start to crave jap food, this is the place for me to go :)
This place is honestly my favourite place for dim sum now! All the dim sum we ordered (the typical siew mai, carrot cake, xiao long bao etc) tasted really good, but this baked BBQ pork bun was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. When I say exceptionally good i mean REALLY REALLY GOOD! the bun was baked to literal perfection, slightly crisp on the outside but when you take a bite, it's so soft 😭 I'm not a huge fan of buns but this bun tasted so good that I actually ate 3 of them!!! Overall, the service was really quick, the food served were all hot (which is good) and of course, very good quality. Highly recommend this place if you would like to satisfy your dimsum cravings but remember to make a reservation first!
Chanced upon this small store while exploring Novena with my friend and I ordered the mixed flavor (sea salt and sweet potato) on a cone. This ice cream is literally TO DIE FOR... It's extremely healthy (it is under the healthier choice logo) and it is under 200 calories so it's a guilt-free dessert for all to enjoy! I found that the sea salt flavor tasted a little bit like Macdonald's ice cream at first? But then as you continue to eat you realize that it's.. unique in a sense? You can tell that the sea salt here is not too sweet, and not too salty - a perfect balance between sweet and salty to make you want more and I find that a lot of parlors fail to achieve this balance whenever they make sea salt caramel flavored ice cream. Overall, I actually preferred the sea salt side compared to the sweet potato side but they're both still very yummy and too much of one side can be a bit sian after a while so I recommend getting mixed flavors during your visit! Will definitely come back for more ice cream here 😭
