Here's the wok fried abalone and pine nuts in spicy sauce, presented in a filo pastry nest.

Here's the very popular Naughty Fries ($9, handcut fries topped with hot beef chili, spiced béarnaise, shallots, Parmesan and sesame seeds), and twice-cooked Wing-Its ($8, crispy outside tender inside, with a lip smacking smokey BBQ sauce).

The simplest food can sometimes be the most satisfying.

One of the things I will miss most about Bali is the ridiculously cheap food. Even at a semi-fine dining establishment like Sarong, the desserts are about S$6 each. This one is creamy peanut butter ice cream with bittersweet dark chocolate praline, caramel and nuts.

Here's the dessert course: almond snow; adorable rabbit-shaped, chilled egg white dessert; and a pair of petit mooncakes to finish.

We had their 2 #snowskin flavours (white lotus seed paste w/ single yolk, and pandan w/ a Gula Melaka center), presented in this long Premium box ($69, 4pcs) adorned with jade.

Thin crust pizza with ham, sautéed mushrooms, egg & truffle oil. Am a fan of thin crust pizza but the pizza here didn't really make the mark. Pretty normal I would say. The crust, though crispy, taste somewhat like naan than pizza crust. Can't taste the truffle oil.

Truffle fries, anyone? 🍟 Not all fries infused with truffle oil thou' fries are crispy. I prefer a stronger, earthy flavour.. And so far, only 2 places make the mark IMHO. 🙊🙊
