Tucked away at the corner of Serene Centre sits a humble micro bakery - The Bakery by Woodlands Sourdough, that I must recommend to anyone who is serious about their bread. This #Burpproved Muslim-owned bakery offers an array of cookies, cakes, handcrafted naturally leavened breads that are simply mouth-watering when paired with their homemade spreads and toppings.

Taking a quick look at their menu, I got myself a deliciously-sounding Nut Butter with Honey & Sea Salt Toast ($3.50) which was all sweet, salty and nutty. Love at first bite, it totally surpassed my expectations and really elevated the unassuming crusty toast with a generous coat of nut butter. Topped with a sprinkle of sea salt and drizzle of sweet honey, the crunchy country bread was the perfect accompaniment as it has just the right density to balance the nutty richness. Also especially lovely when it’s nice and windy outside, it was a joy to have their in-house bakes seated by the corridor. However, do expect a short wait as everything is prepared by the friendly staff upon order.
