Our search for good Teh C brings us to this old school establishment.

Heap Seng Leong Coffeeshop at North Bridge Road.

Once you stepped into this place, you are instantly hit with burning charcoal.
We ordered the Butter Kopi and teh c siu dai set. The butter kopi was amazing, the uncle sliced a piece of butter into the kopi making it so fragrant.

The old school kaya toast was also amazing. All items were cooked over charcoal.

This place has been here since 1974

Dont forget the curry puff handmade! in front of the coffeeshop. At $1 each is simply very delicious and not oily!

东北烧烤 Dong Bei Shao Kao
Located at Chinatown Food Street

Full post: unconventionalpassionss.com

Recently Chinatown Food Street was revamped and there are few hotpot stalls opened.
One of the cheapest being the Dong Bei style hotpot and bbq. only $19.90 nett

Love the soup, Dong Bei style spiced beef and lamb, seafood and veges. Best part was the soup, herbal and very pure tasting. For buffet and no time limit, very well worth it.

Try it now!

Lian he ben ji claypot rice: #02-198. This claypot rice is really awesome and so many patronize it. I had to wait for 45 mins to get mine. As the evening time reaches the waiting becomes longer. But it was worth the wait. You can add your own sauce. I added mine a little bit so healthier abit. Inside this mixed version has chicken, sausage, vegetables and salted fish. Really delicious. Very cheap as well for good claypot rice. At $5. A must to try!!!

This is really awesome. At twd60. Japanese pancake. Inside there are eggs, vegetables and batter. The wasabi is also great.

We came across this stall selling crocodile meat. And they displayed the whole crocodile head at the stall.

Located at the taoyuan high speed railway station. I ordered the spicy ramen and spiciness level 2. It was good and filling for dinner. Around 150 twd.

This are giant mushrooms and are sold by cooking or frying them and cut into bite sized pieces. Both versions are really good. The mushrooms have alot of flavours and very juicy. Awesome. Around 50 twd for one packet.

Laowu pension is located at nantou around central taiwan. It is a top homestay in my opinion after experiencing it in taiwan. Really love the bed rooms and the service provided. Breakfast is included as it is bed and breakfast format. For breakfast they have home made jams they i have never heard before. Like jams made from plants. As seen on the picture the size of the mantou is huge. That was what they served. Specialized mantous and comes in different flavours like sesame and nuts.
