The big & bright signboard at the store front gives you the feeling that it would promise honestly good beef noodles. At $6 a bowl, it was pretty average.
Tasted more like a risotto or even paella - but a really deliciously prepared one, served in a good looking iron pan. Yolk in the middle tops it off. Also loved those thin garlic chips peppered all over.
Back again to Creamier within 4 days. This time the waffles were a bit hard. Anyhow, all is forgiven - chanced upon the green tea ice cream and had to try it, and it's super yum. Goes really well with the waffles and it's my favourite flavour at Creamier (for now). Matcha lovers will love it.
Waffles with earl grey lavender and chocolate ice cream. If the batter isn't done right, then the waffles should not be sold to customers, who are armed with high hopes of getting to their happy place. The disappointment is usually too much to handle, and people end up not wanting to go back to the same place. For a first try of this popular establishment, I'll be going back to Creamier and that's for sure!
I think this is the best food shot I've ever taken. LOOK AT THAT shiny, gleaming pile of tapioca drenched in coconut milk. I can't believe that in my 20+++ years of living and breathing, I've never tried this. Until my colleagues introduced it to me through conversation. Tried it soon after at Beer Thai to end off my delicious dinner and it was SO pleasing. Guess I am one for the carbs!
This dish, though so simple, makes me drool in an instant. It makes me squeal. It makes me go 'OH MY GOD' x10 consecutively though I'm not supposed to swear. It makes me so happy. It's fresh, it's tangy, it has such a kick. You get the gist now.
We ordered Sri Lankan crabs, tiger prawns, crayfish and squid and got to try all the sauces on the menu. Mum's special & their signature Caboodle mix came out tops for us 5. Other sauces include curry, salted egg and garlic butter. The restaurant had a great vibe, service was friendly and my family had an awesome time bonding over a meal. Oldies being blasted over the speakers got us singing and seat dancing along while enjoying a fresh and delicious mess of shellfish with our hands.
SO excited to have discovered Indulgence @ Tanglin Halt which serves local styled western food. Having to fork out more than $10 for a meat + pasta combo is justifiable with the humongous portion. Delicious. Just don't mind the owners and their warning signages at the storefront.
