Always a fan of fig however this fig bagel was a disappointment.
Firstly, for that price, I expected more fig filling within the bagel or at least provide more fig externally.
Secondly, the flavour of fig wasn’t infused in the bagel as it tasted like two separate items.
Lastly, bagel was not well toasted, unlike the red curry chicken bagel we ordered.
Would suggest mixing fig into the raw dough to create more flavour.
Requested for curry to be separated; chicken was flavourful and still slightly spicy even without the curry. Curry did not taste good but chicken was well executed and bagel was toasted to a crisp.
Overall taste was alright however, the minced beef is extremely salty which made the entire dish salty even though I indicated no salt for the fried rice. Also, it is super oily even though I indicated less oil.
Very faint fishy taste but sauce was good overall, wasn’t too creamy nor cloying
Not a huge portion for that price
The bread was warm and well toasted although some parts were quite charred.
It’s complimentary and they allowed refills.
Only one version and only one size to be chosen so try not to check for customisation to avoid incurring the wrath of the lady as I have witnessed.
A hearty bowl of fish soup which consists both sliced fish and deep fried fish.
Although I enjoyed having two types of fish in a bowl, it was way too salty.
Both the soup as well as the deep fried fish were super salty to me.
A bowl of fish soup with white rice costs $6.
They do charge for takeaway containers and covers of the takeaway containers.
Portion is decent and filling.
Thin skin with overflowing soup spilling out of the bao, tasty and best eaten when served
The Xiao Long Baos seem slightly smaller in size as compared to the average Xiao Long Baos but quality triumphs quantity
Went around 7pm on a weekday and managed to get the Xiao Long Baos - $5 for 6 pieces, they were out of most items and were preparing for closing.
Spaghetti Costiera (Chef's Recommendation)
Prawns, Seafood Reduction, Grated Mullet Bottarga
Very normal spaghetti, nothing to rave about considering it’s chef’s recommendation, it’s quite a disappointment
The complimentary bread was cold when served and after requesting the staff to heat them up, the bread was still cold.
Only the container used to store the bread is warm.
Also, bread tastes quite horrible.
There was a long queue and I decided to try it however I will not be returning.
This plate costs $5.90 and the portion is not huge but more importantly, the sauce has this herbal taste which I absolutely did not enjoy.
The only saving grace was the vegetable which was crisp.
They seem to only accept cash, as of now.
The butter madeleines were quite burnt as shown in the photo and I requested for no icing sugar.
It’s quite sweet by itself and the passionfruit curd was not that sour to balance the sweetness from the madeleines.
$11.90 for four butter madeleines is way overpriced but I wanted to try it once.
Ordered a flat white and it was normal; they do not offer decaf option so I took the default single shot and there was no punch.
Flat white costs $5.60.
This places offers Thai dishes and it’s good for groups to share the ala-carte dishes.
Their dishes are slightly salty.
Their Thai milk tea is pre-mixed so the sugar level could not be adjusted.
Deep fried pork tastes good although it is quite salty so hope they could reduce the sodium content.
