Egg-chanted bliss [$12.90++]
. Vanilla softserve paired with yogurt, coupled with scoops of salted egg buttercream , crispy waffle basket shards and a base of assorted fruits (peach, kiwi & raspberry), served up in a parfait style. What caught us by a pleasant surprise was the ‘Gudetama’ iconic figure atop that was actually an EDIBLE piece of chocolate, which we had initially thought it was present there merely for aesthetics. The vanilla softserve is smooth, creamy albeit a little icy, not too milky yet carrying off a distinct dairy flavour and aroma that was pretty light and enjoyable. The salted egg buttercream is whipped to a thick and creamy texture, coupled with a subtle flavour that could be an acquired experience. Would be great if they were ice creams instead of buttercream! 😛 Along with chunks of assorted fresh fruits that added a refreshing, tangy note (and also alleviate the level of guilty indulgence), the same applies to the smooth and tangy greek yogurt as well! The only disappoint was the waffle basket shards that weren’t crispy at all as mentioned, with meringue-alike texture that was also solid-hard and may require a little more jaw-scissoring effort .
