With pocket-friendly lunch prices and beautiful plated presentation, it's no wonder why Tanuki Raw is still going strong on Instagram. Covered in succulent pan-fried short ribs and a wobbly onsen egg, their Truffle Yakiniku ($14.90++) is a sure crowd-pleaser. The Garlic Butter Chicken ($12.90++) is also a safe bet for people who prefer traditional Japanese flavours.

At $12 nett, their Salmon Don and Maguro Don was pretty affordable. Although the Maguro doesnt melt in your mouth, it was pretty good considering the affordable price tag. The sesame seeds really enhance the fragrance and flavor of the dish. Pretty good experience overall!

Holy people. Shiberty just brought the ice-cream and waffles game to a whole new level. Topped with generous amount of berries, two scoops of sea salt caramel & vanilla ice-cream; along with a touch of maple honey drizzle and gold flakes, its buttermilk waffles ($14) is too good to be true. Their waffles was a combination of fluffy goodness with a crisp on the outside. What's more, the ice-cream was amazing. It's been so long since I had the such amazing ice cream and waffles!

Never though that Wine Connection serve more than drinks till today's foodpanda delivery. The two slabs of tender sea bass with pesto dressing accompanies with ratatouille and creamy mashed potato was pretty good, especially the mash. Ohh, I'm just a potato person. However, not the same could be said for their pastas. I've got to say that don't ever order pasta for delivery unless you want dry "mee pok".

Sher's serves up pretty amazing indian cuisine that are bold in their flavours. Every bite of the tender chicken tikka ($12.90) is just delightful! They certainly don't scrimp on their spices!

Toss & Turn is easily my favourite salad place and it's really not hard to see why. Affordable prices, amazing flavours and a wide variety just keeps me returning. And their soups are equally good. For those who think salad are like eating grass, Toss & Turn will change your mind with many carbs options (e.g. Pastas, quinao etc) offered.

Well, Marco Marco just serves up pretty amazing thin crust pizzas. Inspired by cuisines over the world, some listings in their food menu are kind of unique. And talk about their nett prices being affordable!

Juicy & greasy, The Berg with Cheese ($14.50/ large) was a pretty amazing cheeseburger. And you get to choose your own cheese from 3 options: Cheddar, Swiss or Blue Cheese.

Topped with homemade ice cream, maple syrup and berries, the Classic Waffle ($11.90) was fluffy and light.

The creamy quiche was the palate pleaser of the day. However, not the same could be said for the overly sweet hot cross bun and lack-luster fruit tart. I could get better fruit tart at a normal bakery.

When Holy Cow just opened, it created quite a stir among the yishun peeps. Finally a ice-cream cafe in Yishun! Well, the Honeycomb ice cream ($3/ scoop) didn't fail up to expectations. Try their sorbets if you are going for something light!

By itself, the soft serve ($6.50) was pretty good. Had the Thai Milk Tea last time round but it's no longer available if you go now :( However, they do have a new flavour - lavender. Gosh, and their waffles look pretty neat too.
