Eggs Benedict Started 2024 with a promise to wake up early for breakfast every Sundays/PB holidays. No more lunch time sunday wake ups for this guy here. And eggs benedicts was of coz the most Atas of all breakfast to reward myself for waking up at 6am on New Year's day. Extra reward for waking up when it's raining too. Custard Chou Chou Basically an awesome Custard filled donut. They have a variety of French pastries here, and all look damn awesome. The chou chou is Sinful and a must have here at choupinette. Which are basically donuts.

3-Course Dinner \\ Escargot Clean, tender and juicy escargot cooked in garlic parsley butter then served warm. The garlicky sauce is almost as delicious as the escargot themselves! \\ Chicken Fricassee Pieces of chicken meat braised at low temperature with white cream sauce. Served with a side of potato gratin and salad. The chicken was breast meat hence they are a little tough in texture but the light and creamy sauce sort of compensates for the dryness. The rich and creamy potato gratin was good and I wished it came in a slightly bigger share. \\ Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream Warm and nutty chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This dessert fell short of expectations. The size of the brownie is quite small in comparison with the scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was icier and lacks a creamy texture. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 sets of $70 3-Course Dinner Menu for the price of 1 ✌

Hawaiian Chicken Chop #Throwback #Dec2023 Skirt & Dirt serves some very awesome westerns here at Tiong Bahru Hawker, and sometimes, they come up with new limited time menu items and back in December 2023, they served up a fantastic Hawaiian Chicken Chop, with Ham, cheese and pineapple and layered with tomato sauce, like having a chicken Chop pizza.

Yummy paprika fries Didn’t have much expectation but truly amazed at how good this was! Juicy scrumptious beef plus tasty mayo sauce. Size could be a bit bigger but that’s what all hungry hippos say 😜. Paprika sprinkled fries was fantastic too & a nice small size so you don’t get jelat

Cheese Skirt Burger@$8 +$1 for Cajun Fries A truly unique creation, the cheese was crispy and shiok. The beef was juicy and flavourful. Overall damn good. Really love the beef patties here at Skirt & Dirt. A must have here at S&D

Most Worth It Dish I kid you not. These eggs anyway cost 10.50 RM ala carte. Think overflowing flowy creamy scrambled eggs on sour dough, and you'll know it's a steal. Adding sides like tattertots and chicken sausage added just 9.90 RM more. #takemymoney will come back for this

Hideaway with nature aesthetics This place is much raved after and I understand why: aesthetic food in a relaxing setting. Was pretty impressed with my Wild Mushroom Risotto (RM 28) - with abundant and diverse mushrooms, with it's rice immersed in the truffle fragrance and chicken/mushroom broth and it's golden egg yolk goodness. Having supported Routine by Soon, and People and Places, I'm convinced that they do want to deliver cr8tive quality food to it's people. Take note though, queues can get long - we waited close to an hour. Do they take reservations? (Ps there is a 10% service charge and 6% service tax)

Probably one of the better known cafes in JB, it was partially full at 3pm. Visited for my caffeine fix and ended up ordering a table full of food 😉😏 (together with my family haha). Very few places does everything well but I would say that everything served was of food standard. Each dish had its own flavour. Risotto - perfectly al dente with the fragrance of mushrooms. Pancake - so pretty, a little fluffy but with thick and crispy crust at the sides. Coffee - rich, smooth, low acidity. Definitely will be back.

Classic Beef Cheeseburger ($8.50) Finally tried Hammee’s!! It’s good - juicy beef patty with a nice char on the edges, fluffy buttery toasted potato buns, and sweet soft caramelised onions. I wished that it came with pickles by default, I’ll do an add on next time as I felt for the refreshing crunch + sour taste. Satisfied, and even more so at this price point. The triple cooked fries were also quite nice, was crisp and crunchy. Comparing it to OFC, I still prefer OFC but Hammee’s burgers are a very good, close alternative too. But OFC’s fries are better, those come with skins on!

Getting "hammered" by beef One of the juiciest burgers I have tasted, buns have a fluffy core and a nice toasty crust. Caramelized onions that made it taste even better. $11.50 for a double cheeseburger; don't let its size fool you. The flavour and the satisfaction (filling up stomach space and tastebuds) is worth the money. I had it on an empty stomach and it was after am intense workout session. Filled me up.

Mango coco 13.4++ add on almond thins +1.9++ THEY ARE CLOSING THIS WEEK The waffles were decent. Mango was way too sour. Coconut ice cream sucks, it's way too cold and lacks flavour Almond thins were brilliant. Super aromatic from the nuts, with a really satisfying crunch. Not sure what the translucent parts are but hey if it's this good I'm not complaining The queue is insane nowadays so please come with a reservation

red velvet cheesecake waffles ($11.50) as usual, the soft serve was rich in sightly salty cheese flavour!! the little cubes of red velvet cake topped w lemon custard were also a nice topping. would always recommend sunday folks for ice cream, but a little stingy with their waffles, can skip and get cones/cups instead
