If you are willing to queue, you will be rewarded with one of the best bowls of yong tau foo in Singapore. Love the prawn ball so much. $4.50 is enough to net you a bowl of steaming goodness while $5.50 will net you an extra prawn ball and spinach ball.
Had the frozen smores ($8.90?) last year but i still remember it vividly. Have been back numerous times since then to have their gelato and waffles. Love the different intensity of chocolate they provide for their gelato so everyone can enjoy it. Texture is good, not icy. One of my favourite places for desserts!
Found this place unintentionally, but decided to give it a try and boy, it has since been my favourite place to go to when I'm craving for Chirashi, but not willing to splurge. I love that the rice is flavoured with truffle so i can finish the rice even when my sashimi is gone. Sashimi is also fresh. Best part is that most bowls are $14.90 and below. Really, really value for money.
Duck rice reinvented. Ordered the Mixed Bento Set ($8.80) with duck and kway chap ingredients. Loved the plating, made it even more appetising. Rice was fragrant, duck was tender and the intestines were braised well. It was above average in terms of taste and I like the innovation, so overall, it was an enjoyable meal.
Had an amazing omakase experience here for my birthday. Ingredients were fresh, the server was attentive and friendly. Highlight was of course the overflowing ikura mini don where the chef will pile on the ikura until you say stop. Other than that, the chef did not interact much with us though. Good if you are antisocial, but not so good if you are looking to converse with the chef. One of the more affordable omakase around. Recommend!
Came here after hiking at Macritchie because Pacamara and Habitat Coffee was packed. But i was pleasantly surprised by their offerings, especially the Houjicha Molten Pancake (pictured). Not so sweet but the houjicha was rich. The only misgiving was that their Black Sesame gelato was sold out (and my friend said it was the bomb) so they replaced it with Vanilla. But still good nonetheless. Cash & NETS payment.
Came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and was told that their Chirashi was sold out! So sad but at least the Wagyu Beef Don was still available. As there was 1 for 1 on Burpple Beyond and the Entertainer, we decided to go for the large bowl at $21.90. And boy, the portion was HUGE! Even though we used the 1 for 1 promo, they did not stinge on the portion. Very, very generous. Enjoyed every morsel. Beef was tender and flavourful. Will definitely be back to try their chirashi.
Had the pistachio and hazelnut gelato. SO rich and creamy!! We love it so much that we bought a pint home for Christmas last year. So glad to know that they are on Burpple Beyond - more reason to indulge in it (although i would be back even without Beyond!)
One of my favourite brunch places in SG - pictured is their very awesome Pumpkin Pancakes with smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise. It is SO good, but it gets jelak after a while, so share it with someone else!
Supertea at Milennia Walk is another concept by R&B Tea. What i like is that there are seats so you can chill here with a cup if BBT after a long day of shopping. I dont usually drink bubble tea, but their cheese brulee brown sugar milk blew me away. Only bubble tea that i will crave for!
Was expecting to be surprised, and i sure was, because it was a surprisingly ordinary bowl of noodles. Noodles were meh, the sauce was meh, the beef brisket was meh. The only saving grace was the wontons, which were plump and juicy. But for the price ($10+) and portion, i would say it is not very worth it. Probably won't eat there again if i have a choice.
Visited here as there was 1 for 1 on Burpple Beyond. Menu was filled with many interesting and unique dishes. Had the steak with avocado fries and dalkgalbi pasta (pictured). The former was okay, steak was nothing to shout about but the avocado fries were pretty good. Dalkgalbi pasta was FIERY HOT! So spicy but damn shiok. Overall a very good deal as the prices were pretty affordable even without Beyond.
