Prawn pesto ($25), Seabass ($28) Both dishes were good! Pesto sauce is thick & prawns were fresh. Skin of seabass was crispy.

Worth trying! Duck Confit Taglatelle - Smells amazing, and looks enticing! Tastes nice, though I personally prefer a stronger seasoning flavour when it comes to duck. The more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it though😄

Duck Confit Tagliatelle ($28) I decided to use burpple 1 for 1 voucher for trying their pasta (mains). I finally trying their best selling pasta after a long time. But I felt that their pasta was a bit thick as hard to chew thru. Duck confit was quite tender and not that hard. But fried hazelnut reminded me of Ferrero Rocher enhance the pasta's taste.

Lacklustre Ramen Came by as I had a Chope 1-for-1 voucher. I chose the Uni & Chashu Tsukemen ($22) while my partner had the Lobster Dry Ramen ($20). The tsukemen came with a healthy amount of thick and chewy noodles, with a slab of chashu and two sticks of bamboo shoots. The noodles were cooked perfectly and went great with the thick and flavourful dipping sauce. Although, I could not taste the brineyness of uni in the sauce at all, this was still pretty enjoyable as it is. Just that the chashu was practically 1/2 fats. As for the lobster dry ramen, while there was a strong whiff of shellfish from the dish when it arrived, the lack of any real lobster meat was to be expected to say the least. The noodles here were more of the thin and springy kind, which I thought was better suited for dry ramen as compared to the thicker ones. Taste-wise, this was average at best. Overall, our experience here was average at best - from the flavours of the food to the responsiveness of the service staff (I stood at the counter for a good minute waiting for someone to attend to me). The only good point of the meal was that we could help ourselves to complimentary lettuce and hardboiled eggs. Otherwise, would not return.

Good Bowl Of Ramen Used to come here all the time until we found better tasting ramen, these are not bad and the familiar taste brings a sense of comfort. Highly recommend their miso ramen! Major love their charsiew as they are thickly sliced, unlike the thin ones from other shops🤪

Shoyu Ramen Shoyu Ramen comes with two slices of extremely tender pork loin and some bamboo shoots. Promotion going on now comes with a free egg for $13.50 nett. The noodles is thin and curly with a bite to it. Soup is tasty and not too oily. Overall a yummy bowl of ramen at a reasonable price tag 👍

Shoyu Ramen [$13.50] Passed by this area in Takashimaya’s food hall so many times, but have never tried Baikohken before. Average bowl of ramen, but we were pretty surprised by the thick chashu (albeit a little tough) considering the nett price. Broth was comforting and not overly salty, though the noodles felt a teeny bit like Japanese instant ramen noodles.

Rich Dried Sardine Tsukemen | $16++ Dipping broth was thick but find that it lacks the rich sardine taste. Noodles were al dente though and portion was generous.

Rich & Flavourful Tonkatsu Ramen Sanpoutei is one of my go to places for good ramen. Soul nourishing for a cold wet rainy day 🤤Expect a queue especially during peak hours though. Also, they don't do reservations. But plus points for being located right smack outside Holland v station exit B. Much convenience for someone lazy like me 😛😛

Green Queen ($20.50++) Possibly the least refined ramen in town, but quite satisfying, After Red and Black Kings, this time I tried Green Queen. With cheese and bacon, it’s a bit like pesto pasta with soup. If you’re afraid to mess up your white T-shirt and don’t mind looking a bit ridiculous, they would give you a bib.

Butao King ($15.90++) Tonkatsu broth ramen. There wasn't a lot of options on the menu. Perhaps i ordered the non spicy version so there wasn't any sauce. I didn find anything special about the ramen.

Niboshi Tonkotsu Ramen (Limited Time) ($16.90) A rich pork bone broth blended with dried sardines and bonito flakes, served with house-made soy sauce and thick flat noodles. For a change in taste, the addition of homemade flower oil and kombu vinegar adds a tangy lift to the flavour profile. It was truly yummy. The broth was thick, rich and deep, with a distinct oceanic umami from the dried sardines and bonito flakes. The noodles had a tastisfying slurpy, chewy texture. The ajitama was spot on, soft with a perfectly yolky centre. The cha shu was standard, nothing to shout about but good enough.

Spicy Mazesoba ($14.90) This dish has been on the menu since day one. Ah yes… It’s practically the Japanese version of Bak Chor Mee. Thick, chewy dry ramen packed with spicy minced pork, chilli sauce, soft-boiled egg, mushrooms, spring onions, and seaweed. It comes with a side of soup to smooth the palate. Poke the yolk, give it a good mix, and you’ve got yourself a creamylicious, slurp-worthy bowl of noods.

Godfire Special | $21 A lovely bowl of ramen that was rich and so delightful to eat. Just slightly creamy, the Godfire broth was made even better with the huge kick of spiciness. The chashu was also very tender. Worth the queue (but only if you’re not starving). Also, shout out to the gyoza - one of the better ones I’ve tried. Soft skin with yet still a nice bite. Amazing flavour. Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Black Tonkotsu Ramen I eat too much ramen with my friend and family in the past until I didn't remembered what I ordered liao. I settled on getting Black Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.50) after hesitation lol. But the broth for ramen was really rich and thick and also the ramen texture just nice for me (not that too hard or soft).

Special Tonkotsu ($18.50) This is a huge bowl with 4 chashu pieces, and it's essentially their signature with the collagen-rich pork bone soup. Quite a classic flavour that can't really go wrong, although if you want something different then you can go for their garlic one - Black Tonkotsu or Bonito flavoured ramen.

Fremantle Octopus Enjoyable with the right amount of chew and snap, the Fremantle Octopus ($26) was pretty good too. Happy to nibble on them all night long, the smokey octopus offered tender, supple bouncy bites. The accompanying macadamia tahini was bursting with sweet nuttiness and paired even more nicely with a good squeeze of fresh lime.

Babaganoush Another stand-out dish was the flavourful Babaganoush ($14). Adorned with crispy keropok chicken skin, this chilled mezze featuring creamy smoked eggplant dip, earthy kinnogomadare, and roasted sesame seeds is a savoury delight. Just perfect with warm, soft, pillowy Pita ($3/piece).

Roasted Brussel Sprouts Revisited Habibi-san recently and it's safe to say their dishes are as unforgettable as ever. The Roasted Brussel Sprouts ($20) remain an absolute favourite, offering a delightful medley of flavours and textures. Imagine crisp charred buds, dancing in nutty kinnogomadare (roasted Japanese sesame paste), with the added crunch of pickled red cabbage, jalapeños, and a generous topping of umami-packed bonito flakes. It's a symphony of smokiness and sweetness, with just a hint of heat.
