Decent carbonara with Chope 1-for-1 deal. I'd have preferred if the carbonara sauce was richer, but this would actually be perfect for most people. The pancetta was fried well till crispy, bringing a nice chewy + crispy bite. Good effort, but I do wish the portions to be slightly larger! 👍🏻

Fairly easy IPA to drink. Had a interesting "crispy mouthfeel" as described in the menu. Best part is that it's brewed by our local Brewlander! 👍🏻
Thinner than I hope, but at least they managed to cook it medium-rare/medium liked I ordered. Sides were pretty decent. But I prefer their pastas, think I'll stick to those going forward.

I can't remember the name of this dish, but the various chilis and pepper made the dish extremely fragrant. It wasn't too spicy and the numbness was just right (fresh sichuan pepper instead of dried). The chicken was fresh and tender too.

The dish was really fragrant, not too spicy and the numbness was just nice. There was a good portion of the various ingredients like black fungus, sweet potato noodle, lotus root, etc. The catfish was abit meh, plus its quite bony so spent more removing bones than enjoying the fish.

Great broth with good dose of pepper and garlic. Many BKT places seem to be cutting back on pepper and garlic for some reason (to attract more tourists? Or cost cutting measures?)
Anyway, the "Popularity" version ironically has some of the less popular or typical BKT parts - no prime, short or spare ribs - its probably the unwanted portions of the ribs. Nonetheless, the meat is still good enough.
Still deciding if I prefer Founder's or Ya Hua. Both offer very compelling Ba Kut Tehs.

Great broth, and decent serving of kidneys, liver, intestines, stomach and lean meat. The kidneys and liver were a tad overcooked (we should have asked them to slightly undercook those parts 😅).

I'm not a fan of desserts, but if I have to eat desserts at bugis area, I'd definitely have mine at Tom's Palette. My go-to-flavor is chocolate stout since not too sweet and has a nice alcoholic acidity.
The pistachio is not bad too, though I much prefer the pistachio ice cream @ dopa dopa.

"Secret menu" item, which I read/heard about from foodblogs and Food King. The prawns were fresh and huge, omelette was nicely cooked (still slightly runny on the surface), noodles were well fried (tho abit more char/wokhei would have been welcomed), and the pork lard gave it the much needed oomph. 😋
Warning to those who can't stand oily food though, this is definitely a fried noodle dish that was fried in a good amount of oil. So beware! I was personally not expecting it to be that oily, but it wasn't a turn off for me 😅

I read some articles that this stall was still toasting their bread with charcoal, but their kaya toast strangely didn't seem to have any charcoal aroma. Maybe they only use charcoal in the morning, while lunch they use the electric stove? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Will return for one more try, hopefully I get my kaya toast toasted with the charcoal stove!

Pretty decent for this price, tho portions are a tad small. Would have appreciated slightly more rice maybe? I also think the chili powder is unnecessary, so I'd ask them to not add it next time round. Would be interested to try their butadon as well.

Decent ice black with great service and friend staff! Location is actually quite good too.
