Shish tauok 28++ Their chicken is really done marvelously. I mean it could have been a bit more crispy but otherwise it's very well charred and tender. I liked the rice too, it's well separated and has a bite. On top of that there's a spice permeating the rice but my partner didn't like the spice. It's not too strong though

Lamb chop w moussaka 35++ Tbh I ordered it for the moussaka The lamb was overcooked and somewhat tough, but passable. Their moussaka is really good tho, very creamy and full of spiced aroma, without being jelak. The tastes of the various veggies come through nicely too

Spicy Roasted Drumlets ($10) Very limited bar bites selection here and opted for this foolproof platter of spicy drumlets – tastes just like CP Roasted Hot Wings!

Raffles @ Geylang Serai ($14) This elderflower and lemongrass duo with whiffs of mint and lemon was refreshing and not cloying at all. A little overpriced to be honest, but you're also paying for the rooftop bar experience really. It's a great space to chill with friends – plus points for childhood games available for use for free and friendly service (although a biiiit slow). Note: you need to climb five flights of stairs to get here.

Spicy Roasted Drumlets ($10) Featuring a small menu of bar bites (expect things like popcorn chicken, sotong balls...), we ordered their chicken wings and drumlets. I tried their PITA CHIPS ($3.50) which was 1.5 pitas cut into thin strips & deep-fried till crunchy💥💥 They were then dusted with cajun & za’atar, and served with tahini and harissa. super addictive but pls share bcoz i finished it and the oil was swimming in my stomach HAHA

DIY mini pizzas! Fun experience 👅👅 This halal establishment is homely, cozy and friendly; probably fits at most 3 groups of 4 ppl. Costs $18.90 for 1.5h (Fave voucher $13.90). At first I was worried about the cooking time but apparently it only takes 4-8min to cook one. And also apparently each customer gets 2 free drumlets but we didn’t 😞 They also serve spaghetti and mushroom soup. Choices of drinks include green tea and honey&calamansi. (read on for spoilers) They have a variety of toppings: shrimp, tuna flakes, chicken ham, chicken hotdog, minced beef, beef pepperoni, crabstick balls, pineapple, peppers, mushroom, corn, onion, olives, cheese....... Pizza Buffet Pizza Buffet ($15) . Who would have thought that a mini pizza buffet concept would actually work? Despite being newly opened, this place was filled when we visited for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Expect a no-frills 90 minutes dining experience complete with paper cups for the freeflow drinks and paper bowls for the spaghetti with homemade bolognese sauce and mushroom soup chock full of thinly sliced mushrooms. . The DIY pizza screams gimmicky but for a fun and lighthearted meal where one gets to play chef and create his very own signature mini-pizza, this was actually therapeutic in its own way after a hectic day at work. Available ingredients include shrimps, pepperoni, sausages, crabsticks, ham, corn, olives, bell peppers, onions, pineapple and mushrooms. They also serve each person 2 pieces of super shiok grilled drumlets which tasted vastly similar to Pizza Hut’s. A tip I experimented with was to use the bolognaise sauce as the pizza base spread on the plain pizza. It is way more flavourful and meaty than just relying on the tomato sauce provided. . For a Spicy Grilled Fish Lunch Amidst industrial stores and car workshops, this low-key Malay restaurant offers fiery grilled fish in the neighbourhood. The setup is simple, clean and fits the bill for a work lunch with two to three colleagues. Ordering is largely a verbal affair, which involves asking the server for a list of grilled goods available. Alternatively, just ask him what's "Top!" and he'll point you to the Nasi Ikan Pari Bakar (RM14). It yields a rather hefty piece of stingray, grilled to nice char and then, slicked in a hot and spicy sauce. Coming in second is the smaller Keli Bakar (from RM8) in the same glaze, sometimes preferred for its softer flesh. All grilled fish meals come with white rice, curry gravy and plenty of sambal — a sheer combination of delicious heat! There is also an option to add Ulam (chopped greens, RM4), which we highly recommend to help freshen up the otherwise hot, hot dish. Get The Chawamushi! Please get the chawanmushi here. It is very value for money with some additional ingredients aside from just the normal steamed egg. Isaramuya is one of the few halal Japanese places in the west. While I wouldn’t rave about the food in general (my sushi kinda fell apart quite easily) :/ the service is good and food is served rather quickly.

Halal Jap Food Didn’t have the opportunity to take proper pictures, the food looked too good to resist! First off, it literally took them 10 minutes for the food to constantly arrive, which i commend them for! Second, the food is so goooooood, even though my pics dont do this place justice. Really good for a halal restaurant We ordered: Garlic fried rice ($10) Unagi ($18) Mentai Chicken Cutlet ($16) The Garlic fried rice is delishhhhhh, i recommend you guys to share the portions (order mains to share and maybe share the rice as well, ordered 2 garlic rice bowls for 3 of us), even though it is small but it is adequent.

Unagi Fried Rice ($14) First time eating at a muslim-owned Japanese restaurant and their offerings were many and tasty. The bowl came with small pieces of unagi served on a bed of fried rice. Fried with egg, the rice was flavourful though abit dry and salty. The unagi was of reasonably good quality, slightly charred and crisp, with a sticky sweet taste from the sauce. A satisfying donburi dish overall!

For Hearty Japanese Rice Bowls and Steak in Bugis While this spot is popular after work, their foolproof rice bowls are a great excuse to come at lunch. Opt for the crowd favourite Salmon Hotate Chirashi Don ($16) that comes with scallop, cubes of salmon, tamago, nori and topped with an abundance of fish roe. If you're feeling famished, the filling Grilled Ribeye ($24) might be a better option. Think well-seasoned meat accompanied by two kinds of wasabi pastes for the ultimate pairing!
