Kaya French Toast Waited 45 mins for this; off-peak, barely a few tables occupied. Very 'eggy' bread (the ones we whip up for a last min breakfast) , sour kaya ganache that not only has a weird colour, but taste and texture, desiccated coconut that's reminiscent of phoon huat packaged ones. The saving grace was the ice cream and that splash of Gula Melaka. Not too sweet but the elements just do not blend well. I had to pair everything with the ice cream to get some sense of what the dish was dreaming to be like. $15.90. I'll rather go for the real deal that's one decimal place behind.

Mushroom & Egg Brunch at this quiet cafe under the HDB. They have a variety of Gelato but limited options for savoury foods. Ordered Mushroom& Egg Sandwich. The presentation looks good however the texture and taste of the egg was not to my liking 😥 Overall, it was a satisfying meal (thanks to the bun)

Simple And Good Cafe Food Nice little cafe near Beo Crescent Market. I got the Grilled Salmon Rice ($13.80) which comes with sautéed mushrooms and a soft boiled egg, topped with Japanese sesame sauce. Simple and good! Since the last time I came here, the cafe has been renovated and now has a large selection of gelato! I’ll be back to try it for sure.

Aburi Broccoli Salad Woah! This bowl of broccoli was really beyond my expectation! The broccoli was torched to crisp. Together with the parmasan cheese and papadom sprinkled on top, which added an extra point to the dish itself. Recommended 👍🏼

Roasted Salmon With Ebiko Scrambled Eggs And Edamame Mash Salmon was baked to a nice softness. Scrambled eggs was just quite normal, but the edamame mash gave this dish an extra oomp! Recommend 👍🏼

Unagi Soba A bowl of hearty soba noodle but the soup is on the slightly saltier side. So if you prefer less salty stuff, probably not this dish for you.

Crab Pomodoro ($25++,) Really worth it when using Burpple beyond deals. The pasta was not too spicy. There was also a lot of crab meat. Some are quite big pieces so you can chew and taste the crab. Pasta are always great here, no complains.

50%-Off Fave Deal Steak sandwich was so so tasty! I wonder what that white sauce was, it complemented the grilled striploin and mushroom ragu perfectly. I also loved the lychee konnyaku tea recommended by the staff-- it was aromatic and refreshing. With 50%-off, this deal was definitely a steal!

Affordable Mac N Cheese! Heard about the mac and cheese for the longest time! It was a good fix for mac n cheese craving, but it could get gelard at the end! Nevertheless a cheap choice for a cafe setting!

For a Refreshing Bar Concept Bar Naked is... bare. Until a brand takes over, that is. Every quarter, this space functions as novel marketing bridge between intimate consumer engagement and outdoor advertisement. Companies can use the space for launches/ campaigns/ pop-ups , tweaking the furnishings as they please. That's all part of the fun, customers won't know what they'll be stepping into. Most importantly? The prawn paste chicken wings with homemade sambal!!

First day back at work after the Hari Raya long weekend and I feel like I need a drink. Or four. Also, the chicken wings at Bar Naked are possibly the best I've ever had, the crispy prawn paste skin a perfect contrast to the tender. succulent flesh beneath. Don't ignore the little tub of homemade sambal on the side - it is MAD POWER.

Duck Confit Waffle The more decent of the two dishes we tried after a run! Would say it's pretty value for money given the entertainer but wouldn't come back here again, food is so-so & mehhhhhh.

Mid-week dinner w my favorite homs at Babette. In frame is the Duck & Waffle $25, the meat for the duck leg confit was strangely red. And waffle texture was as crispy a biscuit. 😬

Matcha Lava Cake Matcha lava cake ($12.9) with 🍦 and azuki beans :) ! Piping hot matcha flowing out of the 🎂 as you cut it open. Have a 👄 of 🍦 while you're at it! 😋

Red Velvet Cake >$5 Cake was good and yummy. I think fix is only good at their desert section.

Fried Chicken With Green Chilli Set >$12 Barely tasted the chicken. A lot of batter added to the chicken. I know they trying to make it crispy but not like that. And the green chilli sauce was okay. Nothing fantastic. Disappointing.

Salmon Set >$20 It looks pathetic and tasted the same. Not buying that ever again. Miss their old menu which include naanwich etc. Now it's just like every other cafes selling basic food.

Paella (1 serving: S$28, 2 servings: S$39) I suggested to Cat that we try J's for dinner as part of our Entertainer app adventures. The warm fluffy saffron rice dish with marinated chicken, tilapia and salmon is perfectly moist and aromatic. The chicken was amazingly tender and the chunks of salmon was so so fresh! We'd love to go back again for the delicious paella that wins in terms of fuss-free eating and taste.

Churros with Banana & Mango Churros layered with salted caramel bananas, fresh mangoes & coconut infused. It was a bit too creamy for me! ($12)
