Double platter. Roast pork belly and char siew. This was shiokness. The char siew was marinated nicely and the meat and fats were so soft it melts in your mouth 😌 Roast pork belly skin was so crispy and the meat was firm and tender. Comes with mustard sauce and garlic chilli which makes it yummier than it already was. Picture doesnt do this dish justice. Cant wait to go back for more!!
Cheesecake tarts from Fancy Delights. Love the crust, and the different falvours which they offer. Only at $9.60/4pc it's really worth a try!
Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh at Raffles City! It was so heartwarming, with the steamed tofu and fish tasting so much like home cooked food. If you like peppery BKT, you shouldnt give this a miss!
First time trying the highly raved 剪刀剪 Curry Rice which is famous in Beach Road. This outlet is located in the new foodcourt in Bedok Interchange, just beside Lao Ban Beancurd.
I love the environment of the foodcourt! Air conditioned, for people escaping from heat from the hawker centre just beside it, and the interior design was set in the 60s as well.
First time trying curry rice and I would say that it was so-so. This set consists of rice, fried egg, cabbage and curry chicken wing costs $3.90. There is a generous portion of curry over the rice. Overall the curry was good but I couldnt finish the whole dish. The curry makes the dish very je-lat and makes it difficult for me to finish! Overall still worth a try!
This tea set ($9.90+) consisting pot of tea with walnut banana muffin and butter cookie was perfect after walking around in orchard.
Being a tea lover, I was amazed at the large variety of teas to choose from! Oasis (bottom pot) was refreshing with a tinge of herb, goes perfectly with the muffin. Hazelnut truffle (yes truflle!) to much disappointment did not have a distinct truffle taste but I adored the blend of hazelnut in tea as well.
The ambience was also perfect for an afternoon tea, and the presentation of the tea set is simply photo-worthy! I will definitely be back to try more of the other teas available 😊
